CD28 (T-cell-specific surface glycoprotein CD28, TP 44)

CD28 (44 kDa) is a disulphide bonded, homodimeric glycoprotein which is constitutively expressed on the surface of the majority of T-cells. Activating the CD28/B7 pathway could be useful in promoting recognition and elimination of tumors that had previously evaded the immune system.
