CD30L (Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 8, CD30 ligand)

CD30 ligand is a 40 kDa Type II transmembrane glycoprotein. It interacts with its receptor, CD30, as a homotrimer. CD153 is a member of the TNF superfamily which is primarily expressed by activated T cells, B cells and monocytes. Its function in programmed cell death has been proven, and it has been shown that CD30L is involved in a variety of lymphoid malignancies like Hodgkin’s disease and anaplastic large cell lymphoma.
