CIIA

Caspase-activated DNase inhibitor that interacts with ASK1 (CIIA), a new antiapoptotic protein, inhibits oligomerization-induced ASK1 activation by binding to ASK1. CIIA also associates with Caspase-activated Dnase (CAD) and inhibits the nuclease activity of CAD without affecting caspase-3-mediated ICAD cleavage. It has been known that ASK1 interacts with the C-terminal region of CIIA while CAD binds to the Nterminal of CIIA.
