Interleukin-13 (IL-13)

IL-13 (12 kDa, 132 amino acids) is a nonglycosylated immunoregulatory protein. IL-13 may play an important regulatory role in IgE-mediated atopic diseases. The measurement of IL-13 in body fluids may thus provide further information about the pathophysiology of atopic diseases.
