Urocortin 3 (Stresscopin, Ucn3, SCP)
Urocortin is a novel predicted neuropeptide belongs to the corticotropin-releasing factor family. It consisting of 38 amino acid residues. In the mouse, Ucn3 was expressed in pancreatic beta°Cells and in a mouse beta cell line, MIN6. High potassium or high glucose could stimulate Ucn3 secretion from these cells.
