Product details

Summary

C-reactive protein is a plasma protein, a member of the pentraxin family of proteins. It is synthesized in the liver following tissue damage caused by inflammation, infection, or trauma. CRP is considered to be an important acute phase marker in such conditions.

Research topic

Animal studies, Immune Response, Infection and Inflammation

Assay format

Sandwich ELISA, HRP-labelled antibody

Applications

Cell culture supernatant, Plasma, Serum, Synovial fluid, Tissue extract, Urine

Sample requirements

5 µl/well

Storage/Shipping

C-reactive protein kit components should be stored at 2–8°C. Bring them to room temperature (20–25°C) before opening bottles and plate pouches. Diluted conjugate remaining after use should be discarded. TMB substrate and stop solution are also stable at room temperature.

Calibration Curve

Calibration range

1.6 to 133.3 ng/ml
