Summary
IL-12 (70 kDa) is an important pro-inflammatory cytokine produced by dentritic cells, macrophages and B lymphocytes and it has been shown to have multiple effects on T cells and natural killer cells. IL-12 displays significant anti-tumor activity. In vivo, IL-12 appears to play a major role in auto-immune disease, ián the resistance to bacterial and parasitic infections, and in antiviral responses including HIV.
