Product details

Introduction to the Molecule

The receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) is a multiligand member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface molecules. It mediates interactions of advanced glycation end products (AGE), the products of nonenzymatic glycoxidation of proteins/lipids that accumulate in the plasma and tissues of patients with diabetes.

Research topic

Diabetology - Other Relevant Products, Renal disease

Formulation

Filtered (0.4 μm) and lyophilized from 0.5 mg/mL in 50 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.5, 50 mM NaCl.

Reconstitution

Add deionized water to a working concentration approximately 0.5 mg/mL and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. Product is not sterile! Please filter this product by appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture.

Storage, Stability/Shelf Life

Store lyophilized protein at ‑20°C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4°C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4°C. The lyophilized protein remains stable until the expiry date when stored at ‑20°C.

Quality Control Test

BCA to determine quantity of the protein.

SDS PAGE to determine purity of the protein.

Applications

ELISA, Western blotting

Note

This product is intended for research use only.
