Description
The GASTROClear™ DX is an assay that analyses the expression of human miRNA biomarkers associated with gastric cancer. These novel biomarkers are specifically produced by stomach tumours and secreted into the bloodstream. GASTROClear measures 11 novel stomach cancer biomarkers, known as miRNAs, that are associated with the presence of stomach cancer. The levels of these miRNAs can be elevated or reduced at the early onset of stomach cancer and can aid in its detection, even before clinical symptoms appear.
The kit contains 11 blood-borne biomarkers which:
- were discovered and validated in multiple independent clinical cohorts
- determine a person’s current risk of having stomach cancer
- enable detection of early stage stomach cancer before symptoms appear
- are used to recommend high risk patients for follow-up diagnostic endoscopy.
