Summary
The SARS-CoV-2 Direct MULTILAMP 96-kit is based on the principle of reverse transcription LAMP (Reverse
Transcription Loop Mediated Isothermal Amplification). LAMP is an innovative genetic testing method applicable
directly to the primary samples, resp. swabs, collected in a suitable inactivation medium. The precise primer design
allows multiplex amplification of two targets - SARS-CoV-2 RNA S gene and human DNA RNase P gene.
The target sequence is amplified by an isothermal polymerase with replication and dissociation activity, fluorescently
labelled probes, and loop primers, so the dynamics of the reaction and the amount of DNA copies significantly
increase. Amplification is visualised by the fluorescence signal, FAM dye for SARS-CoV-2 and Cy5 dye for RNase P.
The use of the SARS-CoV-2 Direct MULTILAMP 96-kit offers advantages over conventional molecular diagnostic
methods.
All reagents are in one tube, no nucleic acids isolation
is needed, so handling time is reduced.
Primers are designed for use in multiplex
amplification without secondary structures formation.
Compatible with all SARS-CoV-2 mutations.
